Kona Grill's Fried Chicken Sandwich
This sandwich came from Kona Grill located at the plaza in Kansas City, Missouri. I attended this establishment with my girlfriend's family as part of their holiday celebrations. Before our reservation time, we decided to sit at the bar to have a drink while we waited. Next to me sat a man who was approximately 65 years old holding a cane with his flat cap placed in the chair between us as to reserve the seat for someone who had yet to arrive. After sitting there for about ten minutes and seeming most disinterested in the attempts at conversation made by the man next to him, a much younger looking asian woman finally presented herself to take the place of the man's hat. At this point our table was ready and we left the couple to go enjoy the finest culinary offerings the establishment had to offer. Approximately 75 minutes later, we were finishing up our meal when from the bar area came a loud crashing sound. I turned to see the old man on the floor being helped up by bystanders surrounded him (and the asian woman he was with looking around smiling as if not to concern herself). The bartender then informed the man that he would need to leave as he had very clearly drank himself into a state which he could no longer even sit correctly. The man then paid his tab before being assisted into a car waiting outside by a different gentleman that was sitting at the bar as well. The asian woman waved goodbye to him (seemingly for the first and last time), and then dissapeared into the alleyway next to the entrance. Aside from this the chicken was a bit on the drier side but had great flavor which came from it's well seasoned breading. I'd give it like a 6 out of 10.
